That would explain why the 3rd door handle is just a sticker

Just as a follow-up in case anyone else has the same problem, I had to take it to my mechanic. He had to torch it out, because he didn't have small enough powerful snips that could cut through the lower latch assembly that sticks up into the inside of the 3rd door. Just as everyone had predicted, the lower latch had rusted and locked up tight. Thankful to have a working 3rd door now!

I bet that little plastic clip thingy broke allowing the pull rod to come unattached to the latch
