I got one hell of a deal right here.

The truck sat for 10 years, but only has 106k on it.

I paid the guy before I even checked if the motor was locked up, and then started that I fully intend to drive it 15 miles home.

Of course it started up with ease, and with the help of an electric fuel pump, I got it home.

After putting tires, a brake line, and a new fuel tank/pump, it was road worthy

I made it a bit more comfortable by fixing the holes in the floor, putting a down rubber mat, and installing new weather stripping.

It actually runs and drives very well, so now I want to paint it.

For an Illinois Truck, it's not too rusty (I've owned much worse) so a set of cab corners/rockers 'ought to bring it right back around.

I intend to paint it black using a single stage tractor paint (similar to what I did with this truck minus the license plates).

This is the look I'm going for with this truck (I might get rid of the flares and put some chrome trim on)

Yea, I already am dailying it.

It's got a 350/th700r4, so nothing special.

I might sell it since there would be a pretty big profit margin.

Nice find man. I’m there with ya I paid 200 for mine from my job and just seen so much potential. So I sorta restored it. To an extent. Love it so much. It’s my daily. I got it for 200 with 94k on it. And it’s a 1995 with a 350. Currently has 101k on it. I’ve had it for I think 2 years now. Cant wait to see your finished product man.

That's the kinda deal I'd love to find! I like the square body truck in your first picture, used to have a yellow one like that at the parts house (back when those were new trucks). I'm with the rat rod guys-- paint doesn't matter as long as it runs, starts and stops when asked to.

Ah dint get me wrong. If I could find a c10 with its rustic look rotted out. Ah I would bag the crap out if it with some og 15” wheels. Man I’d love that
