I did some searching and looking around, but was hard to sift thru all the info. I have a 96 RCSB (currently being rebuilt/LS swapped, build thread is here). I am looking to come back with 20x8.5/20x10 Boss 338s in Grey. I am just curious what tire sizes you guys like, have had luck with, and have found to be economical. Im looking for a similar sidewall front and rear, but a wider tire out back obviously. the truck will sit 4/6 or 5.7, depending on how much the new engine causes the front to sag. I was previously 2/3 with 275/45/20s on 8.5s, but rubbed unrolled lips, Ill be rolling them this time. Any advice or discussion welcome. thanks in advance guys!

The truck in my sig is 4/7, 20X8.5, 20X10.
255/45 & 295/40. The sidewalls are the same height.
Belltech spindles required the front fenders to be rolled. The rear tire width also required the wheelwells to have the fender lips to be rolled. With a slightly different rear offset, I could have run 305/40's. With the offset the rears have now, the 305's would be hitting things on the inside of the fenderwells.
Toyo Proxes. Pretty hard compound. Don't stick until they're warmed up, but they should last quite a while.
Only reason I bought these is because Toyo is the only Co. I could find that made these sizes in a matching tread pattern.
Purchased from 'Steve's Discount Wheels', outa Chicago. They had the most reasonable price of anyone else that sell these.
$1800.00. Mounted, balanced, & delivered to my door, in Canada. And that included all shipping & duties.

Really loving the stance youve got man. I have toyos now on my NBS and the OBS. They are definitely hard to wear out. Got a guy that can get some sick deals on tires Im going to get to check in the sizes you gave. Ive dealt with steve at SD wheels many times, and he does a great business for sure. Though this other guy is a forum member, and got a buddy some brand new tires for his 20s under $300 I also have an eastwood fender roller, so no big deal there. Id love If BFG made the KDWs in those sizes :bertstare:

Yes I am bagged now. But was drop 5/7 for a little bit. Everything still tucks and lays out. I am using JDM spindles on the front . I did not have to roll any of my fenders either

Front tires are 255x40 toyo. On 20x8.5
Rear tires are 295x40 toyo. On 20x10

Wondering if I can pull off a 265/45 295/40 combo
Why? Your front tries would be taller then your back

Specification Sidewall Radius Diameter Circumference Revs/Mile Difference
255/40-20 4.0in 14.0in 28.0in 88.1in 719 0.0%
265/45-20 4.7in 14.7in 29.4in 92.3in 686 4.8%

Specification Sidewall Radius Diameter Circumference Revs/Mile Difference
295/40-20 4.6in 14.6in 29.3in 92.0in 689 0.0%

.05"? I most definitely want almost Identical sidewall, and dont want the fronts to look stretched. The truck will sit dead level or a hair cali. But its mainly just wanting the width to fit the front wheel right. I haven't seen many 255s on an 8.5 in person though.
