I was just curious to know what series of trucks 1500,2500 or 3500 had 2 bolt or 4 bolt engines, Ive heard the Z71 option had the 4 bolts with windage trays?

Its a crapshoot. There wasn't really a 4 bolt option. Z71 has nothing to do with engines, just trim package/suspension upgrades.

Most 3/4 and 1 ton truck's came with 4 bolt block's, and most all 1/2 ton tuck's came with 2 bolt block's, but you can turn a 2 bolt block in a 4 bolt splayed block which is stronger than a stock 4 bolt block.

X2 splayed is where it is at!

Honestly a 2 bolt 350 is capable of handling a ton of power. I've ran 400hp 2 bolts without failure a few times. Of course we would all rather have the rigidity of a 4 bolt but there is nothing wrong with the 2 bolt. And as mentioned, a couple drilled/tapped holes and you have a 4 bolt.

I would do 500hp on a 2 bolt if it was balanced and kept under 6500 rpm. Some may call it the ragged edge though.
