Is there a major difference between the stock 1995 harness for a tahoe vs 1996 besides tbi/vortec? would it be easier to convert the 1996 to work with a 5.3 swap so you have one single harness vs two integrated ones? Is this possible/will it work?
I have a 1995 2ds 4wd tahoe with a 5.3 i put in over the winter, everthing works so far except tach, speedo, fuel gauge, and no N,D,1 on cluster. Original harness had some melt issues so i sused a jky one. Jky harness had no coil lead, so i tried to hook tach into cluster with no results. Was wondering if it would be possible to just use a newer harness as they are more plentiful than the 1995s and just modify so i have just one seemless install.
