I use the 'parking' brake and mine were (self) adjusted perfectly. I've also read they adjust with the service brakes when reversing - and mine gets that too!

The ****** leading/trailing shoe drums adjust the first time you release the service brake pedal AFTER applying and releasing the park brake. (You have to use and release the park brake, then apply and release the service brake to get the adjuster to work.)

The older-style Duo-Servo brakes adjust when releasing the brake pedal after braking in reverse.

Therefore, the adjustment procedure depends on WHICH rear brakes you have.

If either system is far out of adjustment, it can take multiple adjustment cycles to bring things back where they should be.
