Please understand that these will be my first posts on this site, still getting the hang of it. Thought I'd share with you my past and ongoing aspects of my truck.

Backstory; Truck was lowered 4/6, professionally repainted and got a set of 15x10 American Racing Sawblade wheels sometime in it's previous life before being parked under a tree 2009-2016. I purchased it for about $500 from the previous owner after seeing the frame and body were straight. There is no rust on this truck at all, as I'm from the south and it was originally sold from the dealership just south of Atlanta.

To get it initially road worthy, an ATK-SP04 355ci (.040" over) 4-bolt main OE Roller block was swapped for the tired 220k mile engine with lots of leaks. A Comp Cam XE274H, Hyd Flat tappet lifters, timing chain, a pair of World Products Sportsman II 200cc Iron Heads, Edelbrock Performer RPM intake manifold, jetted Holley 650CFM double pumper carburetor and GM stamped 1.6 ratio rockers all went into the new short block with a high volume oil pump and stock oil pan. A LMC Truck 28" Electric radiator fan kit replaced the OEM pulley driven fan.

The 700r4 transmission was rebuilt by a local transmission shop using new components from the Corvette that used a 700r4, plus a street/strip shift kit. The builder claims it can take 550 HP. A transmission cooler (DER-13614), temp sensor (SUM-G2984-1S) and gauge (SUM-G2984-1B) were added to ensure longevity. The stock passage through the radiator was completely bypassed. Typical temps are 100-120F on the highway, 110-155F in town, depending on how much throttle I'm giving it. Several runs on the 1/4 will reach 165F. I am running a 2700 stall that can lock up on the highway.

Additionally, a Dakota Digital Dash was installed so I could get an exact Tach/Speed display.

About a year ago I converted it to a FiTech 30002 850CFM / 650HP throttle body fuel injection system. Highway MPG increased from 13 to 15, in town MPG went from 9 to 8. Patriot 1 5/8" to 2.5" Long tube headers were installed and paired up to a set of Flowmaster 40's.

Carb 1/4 was 15.26 @ 89.4
FiTech 1/4 is 13.99 @ 95.9

It has been about 3 years on this build with no hint of tiredness from the transmission. A slight leak has formed from the rear main seal, but just last week I had a head gasket fail on me, pushing me to my next build.

Sorry for linking Instagram so many times, but my picture file sizes are too large to upload here. Most of the pics on my Instagram are also somewhat out of order as well.
