Hello everyone, I'm new to this forum & in the process of upgrading my 91 rcsb audio system. I found these 4" speakers

that come with a 4x6" adapter plate. They have a silk dome tweeter so the highs shouldn't be too harsh.

There are 2 metal clips in the front and tabs in the back. Carefully pry up at the front corners until the clips release, then pull the covers up and toward you. Be very careful or the clips in the front will break. You can accomplish this with a flat blade screwdriver.

He's right. I have a 90. I used a driver with interchangeable bits & only used the bit. Mine came free with a little patience. 30 years of sunlight was not kind to them.

If you break the plastic at the clip, you always have velcro as an option!
