Since there are extra leave's in the pack, for instance in the case of both my 1 ton's there are 7 spring's plus overlaod, where as my 1/2 ton truck's have had 3 leaves plus overload, it just cause's the drop to be more because of the difference in thickness of the spring pack, since with a flip kit you are going from axle underneath the spring's to the axle on top of the spring's. I hope I am explaining this all right.
