The one in the middle is the original GM washer. The question is will the copper washers work? The nearest bike shop is a couple hour drive. Those look nothing like the ones on my new bolts.
No drip, able to park on anybobodys concrete drive is the goal. The motor coming out has 180,000 miles with no leaks. Thats what I'm aiming for.Yep, got you over a barrel. You’d think, I was ok with $21, $40 would definitely make re-think.Copper has been used on banjo bolts and oil drain plugs for years. Use the original bolts and the shiny washers should seal at least in my old man brain.
Hey Truckermim - I have the same issue. Took the bolts out. They are fine. Washers are kind of twisted looking on the inside which is supposed to be up tight against the bolt. Definitely need to replace them, as I could see oil dripp9ing from the bolt heads. I've looked at FMWfastners.com, but cannot find washers that look like the GM ones. Could I trouble you to share any more intel on the ones you got? Thanks bud.Howdy y'all. Finally found the bolts for the oil filter adapter for my '97 k2500 from GMPartsOnline. They came with the sealing washers (when you order, they're sold individually, not in pairs). Fast forward - nothing wrong with my bolts, just the washers. Paid $39 with shipping for the two bolts. Upon further investigation, found the sealing washers at FMWfastners.com for .30 each. I hope this helps someone

I had quite a time with those GM spring clips that go around the end of the oil cooler lines that attach to the oil filter adapter in the quick fitting. I bought a pack of the clips and have been finding them all over the garage floor from when they just catapulted themselves off the lines while trying to install them. I finally got the hang of it. It's actually really easy when you know exactly how to do it. One lives and learns...
