I've never once owned a vehicle with functional ac haha. I also live way up CT where it don't get terribly hot most of the year. I do plan to hook it up in the spring though, for now I just need this thing on the road for the winter

I'm headed back slightly north of you in a couple of years and for those couple months of the year it can get downright miserable with the humidity, especially when you're not used to it being hot. Plenty of folks don't fix their AC when it breaks back home for the same reason you've never had it. Where are you going to stash the PS and trans cooler? Or is this a stick?

Yeah, on my first Suburban/5.9 swap that I did in 2011, I never did get ac back up and running. I just got this 2nd one on the road, and momma laid down the law...gotta have AC. What a pain in the arse getting the dual ac system together. It eats up a lot of real estate on the pass side of the engine compartment. I wanted to build a compound turbo setup, but turns out ac was more important. Damn the hot/humid Ohio Valley.

Manual trans so trans cooler is no concern. PS cooler I picked up a universal one that I'm gonna build a little bracket for in front of the IC, looks like I'll have eboogh space being the grille for it if I mount it over by the hood latch support

I've got a 2nd Gen 12v in my 1998 K2500 Suburban. I just swapped in a radiator and intercooler from a 2005 Duramax. I've retained the headlights, condenser, and transmission cooler without cutting the grill. The trick is to install the assembly upside down so the intercooler pipes are on top. The original nipple to the expansion tank is now on the driver's side bottom and is where the heater feeds back into the radiator and the drain **** (now on the drivers side top) serves as the feed to the expansion tank.

Is that radiator hanging out in no man's land? Or is there some meat from the core support under it? That looks like the perfect setup for a turbo'd gasser too.
