Hey guys.

I have a 92 chevy 1500 ext cab and i was wondering what seats will interchange with it. It originally had the 60/40 split bench up front and i decide to change it out a few years ago to the bucket seat set up awhile back and the driver seat that i have now is so wore out it needs to be replaced, so i was wondering if the newer style of buckets the 95-98 will swap right in or would i be better off hunting down the same style of bucket it has now which are the 88-94 style?

Any of the truck seats from a GMT 400 truck will install easily. As will many GM buckets from cars.

I put Toyota Sienna Second and Third row seats in Frank.

The seats will work. There are 2 sets of holes on the bottom of the seat for the frame to shift the seat right or left so it will fit. Example. A seat out of a suburban will only fit in a tahoe if you shift the seat frame left or right. The center console will bolt in but you are going to need the "foot" which is bolted into the floor to mount it. You can drill the foot out and bolt it to the floor. Then mount the center console. Easy fix.

I pulled these from a 99 Tahoe, they bolted right in to my 97 c1500. Correct me if I’m wrong but the floor and cab should be identical to the earlier trucks so it should work out fine… I had a full bench in my truck however so I did drill 2 additional holes after lining up the existing holes. If you do this make sure you use really big washers on the bottom side of floor, worth the extra Pennies for safety… I was actually able to find a 2001 Tahoe center console between the seats as well no issues. Forgive the temporary color mismatch in the pictures lol

The floor pans are slightly different on the early trucks '88-'95. If I remember correctly.

30+ years of working on these truck's interiors.
Never seen 2 bolt holes side-by-side on the seat bottoms.

Side-to-side cab dimensions are the same across the GMT400 line.
'99 Escalade seats in my '98 RCSB.
Bench to buckets only required the drilling of 4 holes for the inner set of seat risers.
No shifting of the seats side>side was done.
If any shifting had been required, the Escalade console installed in between the Escalade seats my '98 never would of fit in the exact same position as it sat originally in the Caddy.
Which it does.

The holes were put in by gm for the captains chairs. If you try to put a tahoe seat in a suburban, you have to shift the seat frame on the bottom. There are 2 sets of holes !!!
