Did a little seat mock-up so I could drill what holes were needed to mount the Tahoe seats.

So I had to drill the 2 inner holes for each bucket into the floor. Strangest thing though, the inner rear on both already had the flat nut under the un-drilled sheet metal, same thing with the rear bolts for the center console!!! I’ll take a victory even if it’s a small one!

Alright! Black Rustoleum is down! Man am I exhausted lol. Now I need to let this dry and pull the headliner in the morning. I never planned to push thru this project this quick, but thanks to my wife getting a job transfer, we are moving at the end of this week. So I’m trying to get this thing put together as much as I can in a short time, while still being thorough. Worse case now, I can always just bolt the driver seat down and drive it to wherever. At least the move will be into a nicer place with an actual garage, and will cut my daily commute in half.

On a side note, those damn screws in the sill plates. I learned once it was too late, that there’s about a inch and a half of these screws that are accessible from under the truck, more than enough to hook vice grips on and break them loose...at least now I know how to get these out when they strip going forward.

If it makes y'all feel better, that stuff happens in the other direction too. In retrospect I have to wonder what I ever saw in some of my ex boyfriends.....
You know what they say, "seemed like a good idea at the

The easy explanation for this is that there is "Mr (or Ms) right" and also Mr (or Ms) RIGHT NOW!

I confess to having fallen into the clutches of the latter a few times before finding the good one.

To get the thread back on track. OP you have done more with a cheap truck than anyone would believe possible! Keep up the good work. You are an inspiration.

Yes he is! Gives me hope for what I can do with my Burb ( and if I ever luck into a 400 pickup for a stable mate).
