The adapters depending on thickness would bring the wheel face right where they need to be to clear. Just wasn’t sure if I even like the look. I definitely don’t like the wheels with the truck at oe height. Possibly once it’s lowered. Not sure yet.
Acquired a set of 2019 SS Camaro wheels. Fronts are 20x8.5 and rears are 20x9.5 im not sure if they’ll mount up and clear everything with adapters. Truck will be lowered eventually too. Had them listed for sale and decided to mount a tire and place it next to my truck to see what it looks like...
I never thought of the delcos. The shops I’ve always worked in have used felpro or mahle. Or house brand parts. And now a days since I’ve been with GM we hardly ever see a 400 anymore.
That’s what I was thinking. You can get on https://tiresize.com/comparison/ and put your trucks oe tire size in line 1 and new tire size in the next line and it will show you all the differences. Revolutions, actual tire width and height as well as speedometer differences.
I wrench for a living at a GM dealer. So I have just about everything. On newer stuff We mainly use 10, 11, 13, 15, 18, 21, 22, 24mm stuff. And lots of special tools for the newer stuff depending on what’s being repaired.
