Anyone know where I can find this molding seam strip? Only ones I find are the short ones on roof of a 95 truck. Driver's side is missing.
Looks like factory seam sealer to me and appears the factory worker went above the normal practice of slopping it on since it was going to be easily seen. Love the stepside by the way,you hardly ever see those trucks.

Crap, sorry.... But there are pins about every six inches. Truck is in storage for winter. But you can see at arrow it has them sticking out. Does the roof ones have pins?
Yes the roof have pins and the moldings clip on. This is not to say someone in the aftermarket didn't come up with a molding for thr cab/bed joint. Hell, I have the tool to tack studs on. Just saying I've never seen an OEM molding there.

I just didn't explain it very well .... And stop yelling at me ! LOL
These trucks were in production for a long time, a host of aftermarket "enhancers" for lack of a better term got ahold of them, Choo Choo, MarkIII, Starcraft, etc., a host of others. Not everything is cut and dry when it comes to OEM level stuff. I'm not saying what you say doesn't exist but I am sayng 25+ years in the collision industry, quite a few years at GM dealers, I never saw those parts at the OEM level, not once. When it comes to bodywork "Do both sides the same"
