She looks good though. Hopefully smooth sailing from here.
Thank you. I hope so too. Going to drive it until the snow flies then park it.

Here is a clip of the exhaust. The gas is almost a year old with some Sea Foam thrown in periodically. It’s pretty gross but once she gets to operating temp it’s a lot better. I’m going to get a fresh tank after it’s aligned and probably run some cleaner through it. I also decided that she’s named “The Barge.”

The old man is convinced I need a muffler or I’ll burn up my exhaust valves. Still a big believer in back pressure.
Back in the day, sucking a valve was more of an issue. The factory valves on our trucks would be considered performance valves in the '60s. The metallurgy now is far better. I haven't seen a sucked valve since I was in Vo-Tech thirty years ago, and that was a valve out of an old motor that was sitting on the shelf as a display.

No update yet. They were supposed to get to it today. Hopefully tomorrow I can pick it up. Planning on going to the car wash for a quick spray down and then waiting until dark to adjust the headlights.

Are they doing the alignment too?

Coincidentally, I just skimmed over the headlight alignment procedure in the gm manual yesterday lol

I have a hard time finding flat walls I can get far enough away from around here. :nono:
