you have no idea how true that is between that and the big rig inspired 2nd gen for 94 thats what saved them if gm or ford would have taken it dode/20011+ rebranded ram trucks would mostly not exist and who knows what gm and ford would be like today the only dmaxs worth it to me are lbz and older because they are pre emissions while I am not a big ford fan I think the 7.3 is an all right engine would not mess with any of there other diesel engines 6.0 and 6.4 are trash and 6.7 while it seams okay has emissions

From experience working on a 7.3 they are stout. Only issue is the glow plug solenoid. Gets stuck closed and runs them non stop.

And honestly ford and chevrolet aint bad. They have pros and cons. Like you said the 7.3(IDI from Navistar) was good the powerstroke design sucks. Now the 6.9idi was ok. Ford had the 300 inline that was good. 9inch rear. And dana 44 front ends.

you left out the might 7.5l 460 the 10.25 and 10.5 rears and the high pinion dana 60 last to have vent windows and dual fuel tanks otherwise agree with above statement and imho the best thing about then the distributor in the front
