5.0 to 5.7 swap, when accelerating normal the truck will randomly lag. I can put the pedal to the floor and it will come out of it, but I cant figure out what is causing this. Its a manual transmission that has been rebuilt and a new crate engine. Ive brought the truck back to the shop that did the swap, but have lost all faith in them. The truck has always seemed down on power to me and anyone who has driven it. I just put a computer from Blackbear performance in it but cant tell any difference at all. Truck also seems to idle a little rough but isnt throwing any codes. Could there be something the shop missed/ didnt do when making the swap to the 5.7? The intake and exhaust were the only things they used from the 5.0. Im sure the lag/lack of power are two diferent issues, but I cant figure either one of them out.
