The electrics did not pull as much CFM as the mechanical I am running. Even at idle the mechanical pulls more cfm.
Your just making a blind comparison. Not all fans are equal. Be them mechanical, are electric. I simply can not make it any planer than I have. If you are so blinded and limited to what you have seen, and your own experience, then oh well. As a wise man once said, the average man, learns from his own mistakes, the wise man learns from the mistakes of others. If it works for you, then use it, but that doesn't mean it rite for everyone else. Personally, I have tried a 5 blade fan, an 11 blade fan, both mechanical, and the electric fans I have been having for over 5 years now. I would never use a mechanical fan again,,,,NEVER!!!!!. I was involved in an air flow and supply fan project, offshore, on air supply for an intrinsically safe environment. We did a lot of research on air flow. What works, and what doesn't, and why. It is as simple as I said before. The correct set up, will out perform the incorrect set up. There are many factors involved in this equation. But simply put, more air flow, equals more cooling. AGAIN, IT IS THAT SIMPLY!!!!!!. YOU WILL NEVER change my mind no matter how much you try and argue that a mechanical fan is better. The OP wanted to know about how to install an electric fan. Not why you think the suck.
