For a short bed crew cab dually,in good shape, that sounds reasonable. Those are fairly rare trucks,as I understand. I paid $4900 for my '97 crew cab long bed in July this year; it has less mileage though, and is a 5.7(one reason I wanted it, I don't need a big block!).
This pic is me and the truck at the U Pull And Pay, last month. Mom was driving but you can't see her from this angle. From certain angles my truck doesn't look 21' long, but from others it looks even longer than that. One of my buddies said, "man that thing really is big, it's a school bus!" when he first saw it.
Of course his daily is a Colorado.... In all fairness the truck he has is very nice. If I could afford a note, I might get one.

A shortbox dually crew cab??? I wonder if it's a conversion.
No. They made them like that from the factory.

I think I read here somewhere they were like a 1 or 2 year thing. I personally think they look out of proportion, but that's just me. Folks love them though.

Dodge seems to be making them in the current generation, which I think look even worse...too much cab and too little bed...a big ass bed that's too short :)... don't listen to me...:-(

1 or 2 years, so kind of like the short bed crew cab SRW? They are '99 and 2000, right? And it does look oddly proportioned. Like a short woman with a big booty....
Yes! You haven't noticed the Dodge like that?! I guess it "could" be worse... with a 5.5' bed truck that everyone goes grocery shopping with... :)

Yeah, I've seen those around too. And they look weird! That one is the Mega Cab, the rear seat can recline like the front, and more foot room.

That shorter bed should make it easier and more manueverable for towing. Especially if you are towing a gooseneck or fifth wheel trailer. I've seen some folks do some trick moves, getting their rigs in and out of slots at the RV park. This place was laid out in the late 60s, before anyone ever dreamed up these 35'-40'+ huge trailers and buses people travel with now. Gets crowded in here at rodeo time, with all the long horse trailers with camping rooms, and the dually crew cabs to move them. That rig looks good, for something like that.
