Long Roof K2500 Driver
I do know Harrison well. I'm from further south in the Panhandle. My dad is originally from Hay Springs.Worked on a large cattle ranch in Harrison. Familiar? Liked it very much.

I got north of 40k out of 2 sets of Duratracs, and am now on some Cooper AT3 tires. If you stay on top of the alignment, either is quiet. I should caveat that with the fact that my exhaust is loud as hell on the 1500, but quiet on the dually and that has the Coopers too. I had Defenders on the wife's Envoy and was not impressed.
If put the Michelin Defenters on my K2500 Burb and absolutely love them! They are pricey but I am a firm believer that you get what you pay for.Spent some time on the 'burb last weekend.
Swapped out gear oil in the front and rear diffs. Used a LubeLocker seal on the 14bff. I've been using them for about 4-5 years, haven't had one leak yet (knock on wood).
While doing my inspection underneath, I noticed one of the exhaust hangers had broken off the pipe. This is twice for this particular position, I had only connected it to the passenger pipe and it apperently didn't like that, so I made sure to weld it to both pipes this time. You can see in the first pic where it broke, there is a chunk missing from the muffler connection.

Engine oil cooler lines are weeping, time to change them out. Looked at doing new AC Delco lines, but for the money, I'm going to do an AN setup. Trying to decide on braided nylon hose and "standard" fittings or trying some of the Aeroquip socketless hose and fittings. Need to get the front brakes swapped out, rotors and pads have been on the shelf for 6mo+ now, and I need to get my tranny temp setup installed. Trying to avoid putting the gauge in an A-pillar pod, but not finding a super clean solution on the dash either.
It's also time for tires, the Yokohama Geolandar G015 A/T's are getting noisey with 26k miles. They have been great tires, they do well in rain, ice, snow, and what little mud they've seen. I have 1.5 miles of agressive rock road before I hit black top, and it really takes a toll on tires. 30-35k is about all I ever get out of a set on a daily driver, if I'm lucky. Looking at Michelin Defenter LTX M/S or possibly Continental TerrainContact A/T's. I want something quiet, that can handle rain/snow/ice. Still on the hunt for a set of Weld Sidewinders or Outbacks in a 16x8 or 17x9.5 size...if I don't come up with a set soon, I'll probably redo a set of PY0's.

I recently decided to try out the Treadwright remolds on my 2500HD a few months ago. American made, quiet as can be, best snow traction i've ever had. I bought a set of "Warden" tires in 285/75/16 for $525 shipped. They use the old BFG All Terrain Tread.
Also, for ***** and grins. I bought the twin to your burb this weekend.
1999 K2500 Burb, 7.4 Vortec, 180K, from New Mexico, no rust. Ran and drove decently.
Well, back in another long roof...just a flipper, or are you going to keep it for a few months?
