After I get them all mounted and working, Im going to get a piece of clear Lexan and fit into the lip on the grill around the headlight opening. It will be the same thickness as the corner light and should smoothly transition-and keep bugs out of the works.

That shouldn't make a differance Danny, all HID kits are either 35W or 55W Ballasts and the bulbs bases are the only other difference. So if one will work in your High Beams it should work in your lows as well. Did you accidentally have the plug flipped the wrong way? I know when I installed my HID's I had the plug 180* off and they didn't fire, then turned the plug 180* and they worked like a charm.

Regardless, if anyone is going to run HID's in there high beams and low beams or just one one of the two, I would recommend having a good Heavy Duty Relay Harness of somesort to pull the power from the battery instead of the little 16-18 gauge OEM wire that pulls from the switch. It also makes a differance in light output also, becuase the OE wiring only delivers about 10.4 Volts to the battery, where as when a HD harness is installed they get the full 13.8 Volts at the headlights.

hooly **** those are expensive

Yeah, the trick is to get ones that have a busted housing or cracked glass. Theres no fix for them so you can get those for next to nothing. Thats why I have 2 1/2 sets-to make sure I had enough parts to make one set. Thats when I discovered that they made two different types.

Yeah, as soon as I saw Mean Greens avatar I recognized it. He makes a heavy duty harness too that maximizes your headlight voltage. (something I will get when Im allowed to spend some money:)

I went looking for aftermarket projectors just out of curiosity. No more complaining about the price of the Mitsu units! Especially if you find them with damaged housings.
