I run American Bass XD1244 on a monoblock 1200 rms amp. They slap pretty hard and I have them on like -20dB.
If I were to change subs I would run Sundown SA-12's

Glad I asked you this question.....
I am considering a pair of the Slim American Bass Subwoofers of the ES 1244 in my truck.
http://www.americanbassusa.com/Subwoofers/ES.html
However I had never heard of American Bass before (I have not been active in car stereo in many, many (15) years),
And when I was active in sound competition, slim speakers like these were in NO WAY as effective as a full size sub.

I cannot seem to find any info on these subs, as far as honest users reviews....

If you have the room for full size subs I would not recommend shallow mounts. Pretty much a waste of space. Go with full size and be done with it. I like my subs, they weren't overly expensive but they also weren't very cheap; good all around subs.

You've got a real nice step side there! :)

Thank you!

Alright so I should have posted this a long time ago but I was so busy and didn't actually take any pictures at the time... but oh well.

I completely installed my new dash! No more cracked dash or rattling pieces.
It took about 3 days each about 4-5 hours of working kind of lazily. While I was in there I cleaned up pretty much any wiring I could find and made it all tidy; redid connections and rerouted wires. Cleaned out the evap while I was in there too.
If anyone is planning on replacing their dash core then I would spend the time and look at anything behind the dash and make sure it's all 100%.
The job wasn't hard, it was pretty tedious. Removing the old one was easy because there was basically nothing left of it. Installing the new one was pretty easy too as long as you have an extra hand to get it in there and set down.
The only problems I ran into were that the dash I recieved was from a pre 92 truck so the hole for the gauge plug was smaller and I had to open it up with a dremel. I also put a piece of styrofoam to hold the plug up. Also there's two screws in the dash behind where the gauges mount to hold up a main wiring loom, they're a pain to get to so i broke them pulling it out and did not put them in when installing the new one.
And of course after doing all of this I determined I needed a new bezel piece so I had to replace that as well. So make sure that you thoroughly examine what all pieces you will need. I still need a fuse box cover and lower column piece but it's no bigee right now.
It's also amazing how discolored my interior was compared to a freshly spec painted piece.

I'm very impressed with it and it way better than a cracked up one.

Also for anyone wondering this is where I got all my pieces I ordered. This guy gets many different pieces every couple days. Pretty good prices. The dash core was $250 plus $65 ship, bezel was $45 plus $13 ship, and the speaker grilles were $20 plus $8 ship.

Then, to top it off and protect the new dash I ordered a dash skin

Fits pretty good, You're supposed to glue it down but I have not got that far because I'm going to get my windshield tinted so I'm waiting till after that. I had to trim the very edges because they were hitting the A pillars.

Also another major event.

I got my windshield replaced.. but not in the way I wanted to...

I got stopped by a Highway patrol and he gave me a ticket for my tinted windshield back in June; which was 15% with a 5% brow at the time. He wrote me a ticket for the windshield only, so I went and got a new windshield because the tint ticket was $242!! while a new shield was only $190.

Anyway, I took the receipt to the courthouse and they waived the ticket.
At the time of writing this my tint should come in this week so I will tint my windshield this weekend in 18% with a 5% brow. I plan on slowly redoing the rest of the truck in 5%. I'll just have to take the time and peel the old and then put new on. Maybe over the course of 3 weekends I will have it done.

Other than that I have't really done anything to the truck. I found out about a month ago my rears are leaking brake fluid, not sure if it's the solenoid or the seals. Gotta dive into that before I go back to school.

Some things that are going to get done pretty soon
-Tint
-Brake rotors and pads
-Big 3 kit
-Fuel filter, spark plugs and some other tuneup stuff
-New belt line weatherstripping

That dash looks awesome...very clean, and looks like a perfect blue!
The radio bezel is a great match as well....what brand is it?
I am having a problem finding a correct blue one..
Love following your build... thanks!

The best I remember the radio bezel is metra brand. I ordered the whole bundle from crutchfield a long time ago when they had a deal going. It matches the dash pretty well but it is a little darker than some of the interior pieces that are sun faded.

Well I got my big 3 kit in the mail today from GP car audio http://gpcaraudio.com

It's a pretty good kit, I got 4 foot 1/0 gauge with 1 red power and 2 black ground with blue heat shrink on both. They have a wide variety of wire colors and heat shrink colors. One end is already hydraulic crimped and then they send you lugs and shrink for the other end so you can make it the size you need. They were having a sale and I also had a coupon so I got them pretty cheap.
However, as shown in the picture I ended up getting 2 red wires and 1 black wire. No big deal honestly but I called them anyway. Well the guy really wanted to make it right so he said he would send me another black wire to make up for it and I wouldn't have to send my extra red wire back! That's pretty good customer service IMO. I would definitely recommend them just because of that. So now all I need is a fuse block and to get these other ends crimped and I'll get them on the truck. Since I'll have 4 wires I'll do batt to starter, batt to alt, batt to block, and batt to frame.

Plan is to tint my windshield at some point this weekend weather and time permitting. I'll get these wires on after I get the other wire and I get my dad to crimp them all at his work.
Been working on my 4 Wheeler a lot lately so it's taking up a lot of my time as well.

Long time no update as well, however I did get a request to see more side pics of my truck to check out how low it is and the stance.
Offbrand Amazon rear 2 inch shackles, Street Edge 2 inch spindles, and I don't know the brand of the hangars in the back are.
