In about 20 days, the truck and I head out to meet the Hot Rod Power Tour.

The map shows just the mandatory stops with the quickest routing. Figure to add a thousand plus more miles following the scenic routes along the way.

Power mirrors done! Went with later model style mirrors. Also added Blazer/Yukon switch panels.. which were a PITA with the aftermarket door panels, but the results were worth it.

Really enjoy the build. Thanks for sharing all of this. Where did you source the side view mirrors from?

They are cheap 95-98 replacements I found online. I don't recommend them. They vibrate as any speed over 30mph. I have a new set of GM mirrors showing up this week. Physically they look the same, but the GM one's have better (metal) build quality... and of course they are triple the price ;)

Got it. Anyway to point me to where I can order the GM parts? My other option is Street Scene but those mirrors are a little too small.

I wired up power mirrors for my truck using junkyard parts/harness, so these are power mirrors:

GM part numbers:
15764757 Driver Side
15764758 Passenger Side

I bought mine through Amazon.

Thank you for that! Do you happen to know what the GM part number would have been for the mirror wiring harness? I am in the LA area but have no idea where I would find a used one in a yard so I may have to track one down via the usual internet sources.

Glad I found this thread. I am going with the Ridetech kit as well and it is nice to see feedback from someone who has used the kit.

I got the harness stuff from Pick-a-part. There are a few scattered around up there. Google: LKQ. I recommend getting the harness from the door and as far into the cab as you can. Once you have that, you can splice in new wire to run across under the dash. What year is your truck? You'll need to think about a controller.

The RideTech stuff has been great! It's a well thought out kit. No guessing. The C-notch with the extra bracing is very nice. But the shocks are what makes it set it over the top. Ride quality is amazing. Much better than stock, comparable to a newer truck.
