Hey guys,

I got my income taxes back and figure its time for a new set of tires and wheels. I need some help choosing the right ones though

For tires, I would like 285's, does anyone have any tread patterns to recommend? The truck will be driven mostly on road, but I do go off road occasionally to get to ATV tracks and what not.
* Also, am I going to need any taller gears to turn the 285's vs. the 265's that were on it when I bought it?

For the wheels, I have a few questions.
1) Are there any brands to avoid?
2) What offset is optimal without having to trim fenders or bumpers or anything?
3) Are aluminum wheels the way to go?
4) What wheel diameter is preferred for 285's?
I would like a little narrower stance than this guy has on his truck:

Thank you all in advance for the help.

A 16x8 with 4" backspace will stick out just a little more then the stock alloys and not cause for rubbing on a stock truck. For tires I would think an all terrain would be good for you, BFG's or Dick Cepeck FCII's.
