That could be a long time. Short of hydraulic lock that killed my 97s first engine. My buddy has ~470K on his short block in his work truck.

That's my hope.

Just disable your rev limiter and see how fast you can go in 2nd gear ;)

I come pretty close to hitting it on a WOT 1-2 hit, I'm commanding a 5500 RPM upshift. Shifting down at 5000 like stock it's not even done making power. I'd have to take it well north of 6000 to even begin doing any damage, the LT1 in my Camaro lives in the rev limiter and I put it together back in 2015. Same crank and rods as a Vortec I do believe, I went with the late PM rods and matching crank.

Begs the question, if you remove the rev limiter how high would it go? You go first.
I can tell you with 55# on the seat mine went 5,800 rpm, but lost power so badly between between 5,150 and 5,350 it lost 40 whp, dyno graph looked like a 7.0 earthquake.. Really shocked you have not experienced bad valve float in yours with the blower.

With a good beehive spring and 218/228 cam I was shifting it 6,200 on a 6,500 limit. The 383 has also seen 6,200 although WOT shift point is currently 5,500 on a 6K limiter. The 383 pulls down to ~88 kpa at 6K, intake restriction is rediculous.

This lower manifold and the later matching 4 bolt 92mm upper plenum is going on mine when the Erson 219/219 goes into it. I bet it gains 40 hp.

I believe if you remove the Rev limiter and keep it stock you can really only hit 6500 rpm anything after that your going to have some real issues with lifter float I'd think
