Hi all, recently, I managed to snap off my antenna, and the little black circular piece with notches in it that is screws onto.

I need to replace that circular piece, as well as the black filler piece that is moulded to the shape of the fender at the bottom, that the black round piece sits on top of.

What are those two pieces called?

Unfortunately, that didn't get me anywhere.

I would just pull one off a junkyard truck, but they have all practically welded themselves to the threads after sitting so long. I either tear it all to hell with a screwdriver or pliers, or snap it off.

Maybe mounting hardware and I bet it doesn't cost much even from the dealership.

Check lmc's catalog and see what they call it, that's what I normally do in a case like that.

You people are awesome.

dcZ71, are those Delco part numbers? If so, looks like I'll be giving Strosnider Chevrolet a call Wednesday morning...

Gatorboy, thanks for the LMC truck tip. Was just going to post back the info when dc posted. :D

They are the gm part numbers from the catalog. So yes just tell the dealer the part #'s and they can get it.

So you just need #1 and #2? That shouldnt be real expensive.

Hi dc,

Parts are both here, came to a grand total of $7.55.

As soon as I can get the antenna base off, I'll replace them. (Anyone know what size those two little screws are that hold it to the fender?) I'm guessing 5.5mm, because I don't have the right size socket for it, and with the hood there, it's hard to get a wrench in there. :(
