Having problems with finding u joints. I'm doing the 9.5 swap and the 1310/1350 u joint didn't work. My truck is a 98 sierra extended cab z71. Has a 1 piece drive shaft. Has a slip yoke and u joint at xcase end and just a u joint at the rearend. Problem is....finding one that's wide enough to fit the drive shaft at the axle end. Across the caps is 3.62 wide with 1.06 bearing caps. Not sure what to look for here. I'm stuck.L The yoke on the 9.5 is 3.62 with 1.18 caps. Which is 1350. Anybody else have this problem?

After I posted this I came across some more numbers. Could it be a 1330/1350 joint?

Not real sure, Is your shaft aluminum or steel? They run different joints.

good cathc on the correction, ive been slippng lately. otherwise most 1 tons are 1350 in some rare odd cases the heavy halfs so to speak with 14 bolts could have came with a 1330 or s44 joint(but very odd cases) dont run a conversion joint, i mean you can its not my truck but i never would personally, id just swap pinion yolks unless you want to get a driveshaft built custom.

Are you positive the driveshaft cup size is 1.06? That is small the most common are the 1.125 size caps. That is a S44/3R u joint, a very common in a lot of steel GM driveshafts. So you need a S44/3R to 1350 U Joint for your 9.5" rear axle or like said switch yokes and do away with needing any conversion joints.
