Hey Guys,
I am not 100% on the transmission I have, its a 305 with the automatic transmission. Anyways, as you can see by my sig it has 400,000km on it so I am wondering if the **** is going to hit the fan. It runs fine and I haven't noticed any problems in its driving but today, I went to shift into reverse (I must admit, it was an abrupt stop but not unusual, like I shifted well it was still rolling but nothing crazy) and it made a grinding noise.

Anyone know what the deal is?

Additionally, I have noticed that the oil pan is covered in something. So I assumed it was my oil pan gasket. The filter isn't leaking or anything. But I suppose it could be coming from the transmission. I checked the fluid and it looked fine.

This is something that I have never even considered to mess with. Any advice?
