trans swap and engine

i have a 98 z71 350 auto without tow package and i bought my buddies 91 z71 350 manual and my auto trans is starting to slip and i wanted to know if everything will interchange and what all i would need to do. the 91 is complete and everything is in good shape its just been in pieces the past 5 yrs in his garage. any advice will help and be appreciated thank you.

you talking about taking the guts out of both and swapping them for just swapping the transmissions?
