Front end on 4x4 is roughly 1 1/2 wider than the rear axle. I was just hoping somone could confirm the exact difference in width.

I know this is old, but I've searched to no avail and cannot find the exact specs on the track widths. Did you get an answer?

I think 1/2 ton stuff is like 67" or wide, rears being touch narrower. A Dana 60 front is 69" wide, a van rear is the same. Why many run the van rears to match the front. Looks goofy with the rear tires inboarded so much.

I don't know an exact number but it's generally accepted the front is 1.5 give or take wider then the rear, BUT exact measurements are going to be dependent on the actual vehicle and where ride height is set.

I think that's more pronounced on the 2500 trucks. Also, the front fenders taper in and visually exacerbate this as well. I don't know what the measurements are though.

@Hipster is correct about the 8 lug 2500's. I put 1.5" wheel spacers on the rear end of my 98 and it perfectly lines up with the front wheels.
