I'm planning on doing my lift next month, so I would like a torsion bar tool. If anyone has one they no longer need or could let me borrow, it would be greatly appreciated.

My vote goes for taking the shock and the lower ball joint out. No tool necessary this way. DO NOT try to use a c clamp. Had a buddy that tried this, bout got someone hurt when he broke it. Gear puller is also not recommended. It can unfold the edge of the cross member and come shooting off.

I got the loaner from AutoZone for free. I paid an 80.00 deposit up front with a credit card but they refunded that when I brought the tool back.

Just like Ryan said, you don't need one! His method works rather well and is totally safe.
