Toothpaste trick?

My headlights like any other 400's are hazey and sh!tty. I was wondering if anyone had ever done the toothpaste trick. i did it before, and it helped a little but i dont think i did it right. any help? ive got a few days off since its the summer and i want somethin to do.

Cause toothpaste is about $1 and a resto kit is probably $30. which one would you choose? ahaha

I just use car wax on mine....works great

I did it awhile back on some seriously hazed ford headlights and it worked like a charm

I bought a $10 resto kit from walmart and it worked great, but now they are worse than before.

Seems like it would be a temporary fix. ill stick with toothpaste, works a while
