Currently looking for new tires for my 97. It currently has some BFGoodrich Radial T/A all around. They are 275 60 15. When i look on discount tire, ntb, or tire rack, the only options i have is 225 75 15 or 235 75 15. Now obviously you can mount a larger tire onto a wheel. My question is, is this recommended? I have also heard of some tire shops that will give you trouble for wanting to mount a bigger tire size that is not recommended.

I wouldnt have an issue mounting that size at my shop. Personally i would stick with the 275s if thats the look you want. If the tire shop knows a thing or two. They should be able to find the load index for that size & make sure its comparable to the factory option.
