So I’ve been out of the lowered scene for 20+years. Had a 90 GMC rcsb I think was 2.5” front and 4” rear. But I’m working on getting a 1998 4 door 2 wheel drive Tahoe. It will not be slammed, want like my other truck, 2-3” front n 3-4” rear. I guess the wheel tubs in back can be an issue when it comes to big tires. This is gonna be a street truck, want a big fat tire out back. If they made the size still, I think a 325/60/15 would like sweet. I ran a 275/55/17 out back on my truck, so may go that route. So anyone who has/had one, what’s a big tire that fits out back?

I would be surprised if a 325 would fit. I have 275/55r17 all the way around on mine. You could maybe go a size wider on the rear if your offset is perfect. On full compression, the tires get really close to the fender lip in the back and if it is flexing over an offset bump, it gets pretty tight on the inside of the well too. I don't think anything wider will fit up front.

I thought the 275/55/17 would be wider, but a 275 is a 275. The 325 is basically a not quite 31x12.5. Wanted to go with the vette rally look, but see what 17s have to offer...need to get the tahoe first too!!!

Should be getting it Friday, but no parts for a while yet. Want to run aluminum rally's 17x8s all around with 275/55s. Just wanted something beefier out back....

So I wonder if a 315/45/18 on a 9.5” rims will fit? Lil over 11” tread, and the b/s tucks it in a bit. Searching brings next to nothing..
