TBI Cam Question

So I’m thinking about putting a cam in my 91 TBI 350. It’s my dd but my daily commute is only about 5 min. My question is, has anyone had experience with putting a cam in these trucks without a custom chip? If so which cam worked for you and did it make a difference. The truck has a good flowing exhaust and is soon to have mid length headers as soon as I get time to put them on. It also has a 4.10 gear. And it’s a 5 speed. I know you can’t put much cam in these trucks but after seeing the stocks numbers, anything will be better than what’s in it.

I got lucky with my motor/cam. I built a 406 with Comp Cams Extreme Energy 268. I had a pretty rough idle, but drove it for 15k I think before I sold. Ran like a ***** f'er. All stock fuel and computer.
