What's involved in going from 88-95 to 96-99 front ends?

The only differences between the two is the grill and bumper filler. Not a hard swap.

Edit: And the bumper brackets also. Thanks Skylark!

I had to get a newer radiator support too. Not sure if this is the case for all years but on my 90, the newer grill didn't bolt up to every hole on my stock one. Still looks good just not an exact fit.

Huh. Ive swapped the newer grilles for the older numerous times and all I had to do was change the filler.....

The really early core supports don't have all the correct holes for the filler/grille, as he mentioned. No biggie.

Not sure why someone would say 88-95 to 96-99. Helps when looking for parts to know what you're looking for. The front end generations are 88-93 and 94-98. A '99 GMT400 is a "classic" and using '99 confuses parts people. :)
