COE = '48. Built on a motorhome chassis.
All steel. Chopped 4.5". Fiero seats cut down 14" to be just at the height of the bottom of the rear window.
500hp. 454c.i. BBC/T400/G.V. overdrive.
Holmes rollback deck.

P/U = '35 Chevy. Steel body, chopped 6".
Glass fenders & running boards.
Also, Fiero seats cut down 18". (!)
'Rodder's Slouch'. It's a real thing!
Owner-built square tube frame.
1000+hp. 468c.i. BBC/Mooneyham 8-71, 22% over-driven/2x 780 Holley's/T400/narrowed 9" w/3.89's.
Has lights, turn sigs, mufflers, a horn & plates.
...and a parachute.
'Street legal'! HEEhehehe!

I've rode shotgun in both. Several times.
A verbal addendum to the interior contract, all done on a hand-shake.
There was no way I was going to do all this without getting at least one ride in each.

After both were completed, (Built at the same time, side-by-side.) the owner & his G/F jumped in the COE, packing the P/U, & went for 'a drive'.
From Summerland B.C. to Detroit, (His hometown. Had to cruise Woodward, again!) Detroit to Nashville, (Her hometown) Nashville to L.A. (Whittier, Van Nuys, Hollywood Bvld.) then onto Reno & finally back home to Summerland, hitting small town cruise-ins & rod runs all along the way.
8 months, 7000+ miles.
The COE ran like a top the whole way.
The P/U spewed the transmission at the local track in Albuquerque, during an all-out call-out night.
Rebuilt before moving on.
