That looks familiar.

This is why Fords and Chryslers shouldn't mate, LOL. Has to be one of the ugliest movie cars ever. But the movie itself is beloved enough that a company called Greenlight, that makes nice diecast vehicles, has made the wagon in 1/64 scale. Pretty nice replica, my brother has one. They have the licensing for a lot of entertainment properties, and have done several movie cars. They have a nice Smokey and the Bandit series including the 76 LeMans police cars. And modified that tooling into a 76 LeMans Safari wagon!

I went down the YouTube rabbit hole one day watching videos where people had made replicas and drove them around. Usually a Ford/Mercury wagon.

I have to say, I think it’d be neat to have one.

It looks like my springs may have the wrap around the 3 top ones, is that normal?

Looks aftermarket to me, at least parts of it. I don't see the plastic pads in there that prevent metal to metal contact on the lower overload or uncaptured main leaf.

Yeah, that could very well be the case. I think I'll save up and get a set of replacement springs. Anyone have experience with these? I'm thinking going with 3+1 and, if need be, get some air shocks for towing/hauling.
