Took half shaft off and reassembled once already, used old retaining ring cuz the ones I've bought from both eBay and dealer are to big diameter wise. I'm stumped. Local transmission shop was gonna help with getting gear with new ring onto stub axle but said it was just too think. Put back together with old ring and 4wd worked but it has slipped out again. Need new pitman and idler arm, don't know if that would cause shaft to be pulled out. Frustrated that diameter of retaining ring doesn't match new replacements??
