Hi guys, I got my fancy "Brawler" carb installed on my '88 (originally a SBC truck). I was wondering if anyone has experience making the original throttle cable/pedal work on their trucks? I was thinking of cutting the cable down and then installing a fitting to link it to the carb?

I am not familiar with that carb. But always just use the stock cable and stock bracket. I use Q-jets and AFB edelbrocks.

Yes, that is the engine setup.. Thanks guys, I will try the cut and crimp method. I also have some left over LOKAR hardware that I might try to use, I am also using a 4150 bracket left over from the race car...

I ended up using a Lokar cable, Jegs bracket etc left over from the race car. I welded on a attachment point on the stock pedal assembly and so far so good..
