Which brake RPO code do you have? JB7 or JB8 (if vacuum boost) or JD7 or JD8 (if hydroboost)
JB7/JD7 = 8400 lbs
JB8/JD8 = 10,000 lbs

I imagine, since you have the 10.5 full float rear axle, it is JB8 or JD8. That would be good.
My '97 K2500 7.4L has the 10.5 full-float axle, but 8400 lb. GVW and JD7 brakes.

My K3500 CCLB SRW leaf springs look the same as what the OP posted. Unless they look the same but are different spring rate? I don't know. That's why I was wondering if his truck was 9200#.

If they are, then the dually springs with the arched overload above the regular spring pack is what I would look for at the junk yard. The one @GMCTruck posted.

That's a mod I've been wanted to do to my truck to help with sag....although in that photo OP posted the rear doesn't look too bad if the camper actually weighs 3,500#.

I did a yard of flex base on my 3500 today, it levels it pretty good. It's around 2700-2800 lb/yard. Sand is about the same, depending on moisture content.

I've done a pallet of 42 bags of 80 concrete baggaged mix on mine, and that puts the rear axle about 1" from the bump stops. I "think" that pretty much nets my 9200 lbs. Old girl sags pretty good.

I've kinda estimated that number when taking busted rock to the landfill. I get weighed when I go in. I've been right on the number a few times. Stopping distance is extended for sure at that payload. My truck has the JB8 brake code, whatever that means?

3500 lbs is a good amount of weight.

My '97 service manual says JB8 varies between single-rear wheel and dual-rear-wheel vehicles. Both rear brakes are 13" drums x 3 1/2" shoes. The front brakes are different--12 1/2" rotors 1.26 thick on single-rear-wheel vehicles, 12 1/2" rotors 1.5" thick on dualies.
