You coudl always bolt on an LT1 carb intake and use your TBI fueling and ECM to power it along with your distributer. The GMPP carb intakes have longer ruynners than the EFI LT1 intakes which bolster torque by up to 30 lb/ft.

will an lt1 carb intake go on an 88 block?

i dont know much about the lt1

go get yourself a 283 out of a big old truck with high nickel steel so you can thin the walls enough and build a 292

they rev up to 12 grand easy and sound like the world is coming to an end

they make incredible amounts of power at high rpm like that

its a stock bore of 3.84 punched out to 4.00 for a 5.7 piston

it has the 283 crank (people claim its a 327 crank but i dont see how)

its known as a homemade 302, gm did make them from 67-69

they will wind out and wont blow up like a stroker or track grenade

I was talking about adding an LT1 carb intake the LT1.

So far as a 3" stroke. Go get a crank from a 94-94 L99 4.3L V8 (baby LT1) and use its 5.94" rods on stock 350 pistons for a 302.
I dont know about 12,000rpm though.

If I was going to do all the work involved in the swap I would do at least a 5.3 for tunability and reliability alone you want an LS engine.

I think an LT1 swap would be cool and different. Decent enough aftermarket and you definitely wouldn't be lacking in the torque department. To be completely realistic though, I don't any economic trade off over a Gen I sbc... especially factoring in carb setups.
