So is the intake choked on these, hence the same duration on both sides? Pretty close to the 212/218 .5XX/.5XX cam in my big block.

Yes, especially with the stock low rise intake manifold. Aftermarket heads are worth an immediate 100hp gain. This is also not really designed to be a performance cam, think more RV cam. It is the second softest cam MTS made.

Oh I'm with you there, I tow with my 212/218.

So upon installing the core plugs, which I bought as a kit, I found several were incorrect sizes. Not only that, individual replacements were wrong as well. So I dug out the old micro fiche parts catalogs and starting hunting for the proper dimensions. This ought to bring some people back to the good old days.
