Now that the motor was basically complete, I turned my attention to installing the Vortec fuel pump. I ended up having to replace the sending unit and all the straps and bolts. This despite the fact that I replaced the fuel lines when I bought the truck. Next time I mess with it I'm going to replace the tank and all the hardware.

I trimmed the dash to fit the switch panel, and added the wiring to the harness for my electric fan.

I took the marks I made during test fit #2, and made the slots for the mounts. The round hole fits the little nub and is chamfered to fit. I also cleaned up the mounting holes which were super close but off by about 1/32", making only 3 bolts fit at a time.
