Spun Bearing Sound - Chevy 350 5.7L

Hi Everyone,

I just wanted to share a video of the sound of a spun rod bearing. I know I really struggled to identify it until I tore the engine down.

This sound started randomly on a drive and I immediately shut it down. But the damage was already done. The crank shaft was toast.

That's about what my Buick 430 sounds like.... less knock, more squeak, Though.

Was it a rod bearing, or a crank main bearing?

It was a rod bearing. The squeak was the bearing and the knock was actually the bearing, it has slipped and was knocking on the crankshaft / rod. In the 3rd pic you can see the folded edge that was catching.
