Sm465 and nv4500 bellhousings

I been reading online and keep finding mixed answers my truck has the early nv4500 with external passenger side slave I don't recall if the transmission that is at my buddys is on the pass or driver side IF it is not on the passenger side since I have the early 4500 will my bell housing clutch dork and slave cylinder work with the 4 speed 4x4 sm465?

The late 92-95 NV4500 has a GM bell to transmission pattern with an external slave that's specific to the GM variant of the NV4500. IIRC the slave is on the RH side down low.

The SM465 has the old four ear GM transmission to bell pattern. Several transmissions will fit that bellhousing but not the Dodge & 96 on GM or the 92-95 GM versions of the NV4500.

Well I went and looked at the bell housing on the other trans and it has the spot for the slave in the same place as my 4500 so I should be able to use my slave out of the 4500 correct? And when I buy my clutch kit could I use the same clutch as my 4500 ?

The clutch should be the same. Not sure about the slave tho.
