Never take cam advice from internet randos. Call your favorite cam company. They'll ask pertinent questions and select a good cam for your purpose. You'll want springs that suit the cam, and they can make a recommendation on that as well.
For a stock or mild cam, I'm okay with stock replacement springs from GM or Melling. I'm running LS2 valvesprings (10% stiffer than stock) with Comp Cams retainers in WCJr's engine. Any bigger cam and I'd ask the cam company what spring rate to target.
