If you're not towing nor over 500 hp, 4-bolt mains aren't needed.

I was simply thinking generally, a factory 4 bolt main is a HD engine with lower compression.

If it was sitting for 3 years, there’s a possibility of rust pitting from condensation. Take it apart, clean and inspect it. If the bearings and rings are “good” then just put them back in where they came from.

Plastigage, Snap gages and calipers aren’t the most accurate but they can be had for cheap and will let you know if you’re in the ballpark of tolerances.
