Today while walking around the junkyard i spotted this diesel truck with blue flak paint job an saw this on the rear glass is this custom or was it a aftermarket option I'm just asking because I never seen one in person or online before

it had deville on the side fenders and the interior was all blue in great condition but forgot to take a picture of the inside

Looks like someone tried making their own! Those rear window louvers were widely available for a variety of vehicles aftermarket. Willpak was a popular company. Most of these were made of ABS plastic, while some manufacturers would sometimes use aluminum. I don't know about our truck applications, but typically the nicer ones were aluminum and hinged for easy window cleaning. The ABS ones usually just stuck on with double-stick tape.
